In more recent times this pattern has provided inspiration for two quite separate patterns named "Dunedin" – in Florida, USA, and New Zealand. "Dunedin" is an alternative (or lyrical) form of Edinburgh used by towns in these countries. Present day usage defines this as a "district" pattern suitable for use by persons having links with the place, or as a memento of their visit. View Reiver tartans:View Strome tartans: |
